Greece to expand ties with China in telecom, audiovisual & culture, energy, transport and infrastructure projects

The expansion of relations with China in the spheres of telecommunications, culture, cinema and the audiovisual cultural industry, as well as through economic cooperation and investments, constitutes a “strategic choice for Greece”, said Greek Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas.

Greek scientists conversing about Chinese culture

In view of the upcoming ancient science and technology exhibition exchanges between Athens and Beijing and in collaboration with the Chinese Museum of Science and Technology, the Herakleidon Museum in Athens is hosting two lectures about the ancient Chinese culture. The first took place on May 9, under the title “A few comparisons on mythology and philosophy between the Chinese and the Greek Antiquity”, by Theodossis Tassios, Professor emeritus at the National Technical University of Athens.

Creating a new platform of cooperation and dialogue

Prime minister Alexis Tsipras visited Beijing on 12-15 May to attend a high level Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. In Beijing, Tsipras had meetings with the President and the Prime minister of China, Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang. He also addressed the 2nd Greek-Chinese City Forum and inaugurated the Greek Studies Centre at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).
